As we prepare to close out another year, we're reflecting on the incredible progress we've made at the Meeteetse Museums thanks to your generous support. Your contributions have been instrumental in preserving our community's history and inspiring future generations.

Meeteetse history matters and needs to be preserved. Beyond preservation, this history must be displayed to tell the stories that make Meeteetse a unique and amazing place. One of the projects we are most looking forward to after our major roof repair is the expansion of our exhibits.

It has been quite a while since we added a new exhibit to the Museums, and you can help change that. Adding new exhibits means we can tell more Meeteetse stories, further showcasing Meeteetse’s unique heritage.

With your support, one of our major exhibit goals is to complete and open an exhibit on wildland fires and firefighting in the Meeteetse area. This has been a work in progress since the Museums moved the Forest Service firebox, used to cache firefighting equipment in the area, into the main Museum building from our outdoor exhibits in 2018.

In addition to this wildland fire exhibit, your help will fund other future exhibits, such as a law enforcement exhibit. This exhibit will tell the story of law and order in Meeteetse, featuring the Meeteetse jail cell and our Town of Meeteetse Marshal collection.
